firstly my audio aint working-direct x 8 is working fine and i think i need the pcm driver-but i cant find them
secondly my control pad is connected[the light is on] but isnt responding

No, people don't know anything about your system (OS, sound card make/model, control pad make/model). How can they help?

Nugent is correct, its pretty difficult to help you out without some information regarding your system...

But going on the litle bit you did give, I would venture a guess and say you answered your own problem..... Incorrect/not installed drivers.... Identify your hardware and ask in the Driver forum where you might be able to find the correct one/s then if it still doesn't work check back here with a bit more detailed description of your system...
