I have a US PS2 v2, and it really seams to stink cuz i cant find any bootless mods for it. Anyway, i was thinking on buying new one but want to know what is the version that im most likelly to find at the store right now??:D

Well if you buy one right now....at least in Europe...u'll probably get a v5 (easiest to mod with a messiah)

If your in US you'll probably get either a v5, or that new one, with the emotion engine and the proccesor in one chip....its a strange number, like...39005 or something!!?!?(that one aint compatible with any of the chips....yet)

if you are in the US, then there's now telling which one you'll get, but most likely a v5 or v6, and there are some v4 still out there.

and btw, there is a thread covering this exact topic on one of the first couple pages.

The latest one if V6 but Sony is working on a V7 console.
