I think I'll go for the X-ecutor, then Flash the XBox BIOS with the Evolution X, and get rid of the chip. I could probably start a service with this actually, use the same 1-wire chip and a CDR with Evo X on it and charge like $30 to hook people up with it...I've said too much. But, if you can't flash the BIOS with X-ecutor, then who cares, it's easier than putting in 9, 12, or 33 wires anyway.

What's the point of flashing the xbox bios with evo X? Will it have the no patch hack and the eject trick capability?

he brandonbooth, why wouldn't you be able to flash the bios??? your always able to flash the bios from your xbox. the only thing thats the problem is that you need to boot a cdr(with evolutionx on it) so if evolutionx was pressed on a cd wich a unmodded Xbox would boot, you didn't even need to have a mod installed. so what you say is true, you can make a hell of a bussines out of it. no cost only the time that you spend on modding/flashing and the cd with evolutionx(got to deliver the cd with it so people can install evox dash on the hd and stuff) but that is a nice idee, got to look into it, not very much modders in holland so i can easely charge 100 euro :D

Hmmm, if that's true, that *could* be great news. I'm actually friends with a guy who MAKES the PSX-Change CDs, he presses them himself with his machine. Perhaps if we could get the signed code on a CD with Evo X software on it. The chip makers should really look into this stuff and just make their own pressed discs. It would save them and the consumer a ton of money.

Funny, they seem to have taken a little notice off their website that says it was just a fun project.

Id like to see what its going to cost if its real. I just cant imagine the chinese cant do this themselves, so the best they can get is 12 wires. Something seems odd here.

Is there a benefit of the x-ecutor over the Enigmah besides the one wire install? I am planning on buying a premod, so the amount of wires is transparent to me. Does this chip offer the end user anymore benefits?

http://www.x-ecuter.com/ has an UPDATE, INCLUDING A PHOTO of the chip as it is INSTALLED! They've also added a FAQ!

:: News Update ::

After successful trials and testing with our team of beta testers, we can announce that the X-ecuter will be available before 29th July.
This is the ONLY mod available with 100% of the features on one device.
Forget silly clones like messiah-x and pandora - you may as well just use an enigmah or xtender for $10 as the features are the same

No other mod has the no-patch hack, no reset on eject hack and hdd patch all on one device.

Pictures and installation diagrams will be available at the end of the week.

Every feature that can be unlocked via the bios is now complete. So no need for any flashing of your bios or updates.
All tools and fun stuff will now be software based like the evolution-x and boXplorer.

We've had a sneak peak at some "internal" tools which are being finished and you guys will just love them.

You can buy x-ecuter from...

Man I cannot wait to get this chip. Sure it's actually 9 sodler points and 1 wire, but damn it looks incredibly easy to install!
