is it posible to create a bootable backup of a psx or ps2 game? if so how? (sorry i couldn't find the answer in the faq)

Do you mean one that doesn't need a mod chip or boot disc (for the ps1)?? Becuase the answer is no, well sort of no. You can however make copies and then use a swap trick so you don't need a mod chip or whatever. I don't use a swap trick, so I have no idea how to do it or how hard it is.

the swap trick (without an action replay cartridge) only worked on the 1002 models of PSX, the only self-booting discs that are not official are the Action Replay and the PSX-Change disc

The 1001 models are the ones that the swap trick WONT work on.
