Ok,

I am in the processes of buying an xbox. I am wanting to set it up with a larger hdd and am going to make my own chip. I was planning on using xtender bios but seen the info on the evo-x. I have the bios for evo-x v 2.2 do I have to or can I program my chip with both bios? The real questions is do I need to I want to be able to play off my HDD and dvdr's. Also if I only have to do either or where can I find a wiring diagram I have the one for xtender would I use it for evo-x? Please help I want to do this right. I also have the isos for the disc so I am good to go there.

Just use the evo bios, it does everything the extender does plus the bigger HD support. Wiring depends on the type if chip you use, its different for Flash Rom and EEProms. You can find diagrams on the net, I've seen them on www.xboxhacker.net

you can program 2 bios in one chip but why? evo x is the same thing except it supports hdd swap and putting games into the hdd.
