right before i start is it poss to have a dvd buner and a cd burner copying at the same time on the same sytem using to different copying applications

say the cd`s being burnt on the fly and the dvd from an image on the hardrive

my system is 1000mhz
256 memory
40gb hardrive
32x writer
and of course would fit another cd rom for on the fly
and a dvd burner

please dont take the piss if this sems a really stupid idea itsjust a thought i had and i`m not that clued up with pc`s but want a dvd burner but would like to have both things running from one system at the same time

nero allows multiple burning so does clone

Yes, it's possible. I have done this on a 900MHz / 384Mb / 45Gb system, though I wasn't doing on the fly copies from a CDROM to the CDRW, I was writing an audio CD. My CD writer is 24x.

I used Nero for the audio CD and was writing an image of a DVD with DVD Decrypter that had been authored via SpruceUp. I didn't have any buffer underruns (my drives have buffer underrun protection, but I keep it switched off).

Yes you can but they must be on seperate IDE channels i.e CD Writer on IDE 1
DVDR Burner on IDE 2.
You understand what I mean ?

Also Primo is fussy about running open at the same time as any other burning app.
