I have a new PC running Windows XP with an AthlonXP 1800+ and EPOX 8k3a mobo. Sometimes when I first boot it and windows starts it runs really slow. I do a <ctrl><alt><del> and it says that explorer.exe is using 99% of the cpu. All I can do is restart and then it is usually OK. It seems to be intermittent and have no idea what could be causing this. Can anyone please shed some light on the problem.
