Hi guys, I'd like to run this one by you.
My mate previously had W98 & upgraded to XP. Now his Multitech MT5600ZDXE modem won't work. I went online for him and got him the driver from here.
http://www.multitech.com/SUPPORT/MultiModemZDX/drivers.asp
He says he can't install the new drivers. The advice I gave him was to uninstall the modem switch off PC then switch back on and reload modem with the new driver on the floppy that I put the drivers on.
1. Did I give him the best advice?
2. Is there a better way?
He doesn't use the modem surfin, he is a security engineer and uses it to access peoples security systems. He surfs too but most important use is for his business. This modem was recommended by the people that supply the software to access the security systems that he installs. They said it is the best modem to work with their sofware.
Any advice I can use on Sunday when I go to give him a hand?
Steeve.
