Heya peeps,

I need some straightforward help. And please don't just put 'go to www.driverguide.com' I've been trying that, and much more, all day, and absolutely no joy.

I've just upgraded from NT4, where I was quite happily running a Philips PCRW804 (CDRewriter), and a Compaq DVDROM-114.

But since I've been running Win2000, it's failed to install drivers for either of them,- they're both shown by name in the device manager. But it just says they're usin the wrong drivers.

Also, when I close down, I now get a bluescreen saying 'DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE' and the only way out is to hit the reset button.

Any help would be hugely appreciated.
