The 1 wire mod is out at the end of this month mate, its very easy to install from what i have read, it goes on the top side so no need to remove the motherboard. it does everything the 30 wire chips do plus a little bit more.

My advice is to wait

this is about the excuter 1 wire modchip...

Like expected there are 9 "connectionpoints".
It looks like they use a pcb with holes and you just have to solder throught those holes (fill hole with some solder) to install the pcb.
There is 1 wire. (it's pretty hard to see : it's on the bottom right & wire is green).

Maybe some people will be disappointed that it's no 1 solderpoint solution (altho it was reported several times that a 1 connectionpoint solution was impossible on xbox. Also note that x-ecuter never said their mod would have only 1 solderpoint , they always said 1 wire) , but anyway it's still the most complete & easiest to install modchip for xbox.

The xbox is not as hard as the PS2. The pre-soldered pads really ease up the job.

what mods are you comparing? id say that if you can do a neo2 the you can do the xbox.

personally i find the xbox harder to mod than a neo2 install, but vastly easier than a ps2 messiah install. be careful if you're not proficient, a m8 of mine screwed his board, dragged a couple of traces around (and this is a bright guy, a maths + physics graduate): it was fixed by a pro tho :)
