Can you install a Messiah into a US V4 Console with a Non-Gap Bios in it?
All the places I have seen have the Gap version instead on the Non-Gap thats in mine. The console is a V4 with a 1B datecode on it if that helps you and the bios is a 30 version of the chip...:confused:

Any help would be appreciated from people that have installed these chips in US consoles

I know the difference between the 2 I just don't understand why one works and the other does not.

A Gap Bios has a gap between the pins on both side of the chip, and a non gap does not. All the pins are close togethor.
