I know absolutely nothing about networking. I have a SIS k7s5a motherboard which has a built in lan port. If I use a crossover cable can I connect to my xbox directly through this? Also do you have to use flashfxp or can I just use my xp settings I'm not currently using broadband I use dial up connection? I have downloaded flashfxp just wondering if it is nessecary for me to use?

u connect crossover cable to xbox then u have to install evolution dashboard on xbox via a dvdr or cdrw
then u have to use flash fxp to access xbox
u cant just have direct control over xbox without using flash fxp

Any ftp program works not just flashfxp. I use ws-ftp-le
