do i place a disk in the drive !! i dont have the card packer that came with it and is it best 2 keep the drive the right way up ?

Do not transport the drive with a disc in it. The laser won't move if it it's protected against hard knocks so just pack it well with bubble wrap & other padding so it can't move around it the box.

Start with it the right side up although there is no guarantee the postal service/courier will keep it in that orientation :D
