what's the biggest hard dirve you can put in your xbox. i heard alot of people talking about puting 160gb is this possible

well i would think you'd be able to put any size you could get your hands on!

dont waste your time putting hard drivesi n the xbox. they load slow and have glitches...

biggest is 120gb and they work fine.

people have put in 160s(biggest out), DC is right though, you do get an occasional dirty disc error playing from the HD. Never during play just somtimes when navigating menus.

you can put in a 160 but the most the 37bit LBA will recognize is 130 so you're just waisting 30 gigs. if you zero out the hd first and format it properly, everything should work fine. i've had no problems with dirty discs or slow downs.

Who needs that big of a drive anyways :)

i understand you want to put 20-30gbs of mp3s...but...do you need 120gb :)

Hoju22, I have the factory HD in my box and I get errors occascionally. Don't take this the wrong way, I'm saying like 1 time in every 5-10 hours of play(not straight through). I think it loads faster than from the dvd drvie though.

Mr. Bootleg, with evo-x you can put games on the HD and play them from there. Thats why people want bigger drives.

137GB is the limit .... that's cause of the ATA bus limitations....so even if you put in 160GB drive, the xbox will only see 137GB worth of it....it's been discusssed on xboxhacker :)

also, HD works just fine and loading times are WAY faster than with CDRW and even faster than DVDR :)
