Found a decent price on this Sony at ProVantage.com ($87 minus $20 rebate) but Sony's data sheet for the CRX195A calls for an OS starting with Win98 SE. Has anybody installed this burner on a Win98 system? Why would Sony require Windows Second Edition?

i think its a plug and play drive so should work

Can see no reason why it wouldn't work. It is pretty much a lite-on drive and I am sure that there would be someone here running a lite-on under win98.
