Are any of The Sims games protected? I need to know 'cuz I want to make backups of House Party, Hot Date, and Vacation, but I don't want to create coasters. Thanks.

Thanks. Brandono Jul 25, 2002, 03:14 PM Yes all of them are I think. Hot Date and Vacation are probably Safedisc 2 and house party might have Safedisc 1(might be 2, not sure). Also there is no such thing as SafeDisk 2.. correct spelling is SafeDisc which was originally made by Cdilla before Macrovision took over. Clony XXL will give you the correct settings for copying with Clone CD. You can however use other programs such as BlindWrite or CD Mate if you want. It has nothing to do with getting a 1:1 copy(I didn't use it before with SD2 games and still got 1:1 copies). Are you burning with AMPLIFY WEAK SECTORS or did try BETABLOCKER at all? What kind of burner do you have? Because if you did use AWS or BETABLOCKER with a certain burner(LITEON)then it may mess up your copy. Brandono Jul 28, 2002, 01:02 PM Well I don't think AWS is availible in the UK or US unless you download something to make it availible. Forgot what it was called. So I don't know if Clony XXL will turn AWS on for you so try downloading BETABLOCKER from here http://mitglied.lycos.de/fettesbruder/files/BetaSd2_52.zip . Open it up and then drap the .img file into the white backround part of BETABLOCKER. Then click the button on the left and it will search the image and some stuff should come up. Then click the button on the right. Then exit out of Betablocker and burn with CloneCD with the setting Clony gave you.
