Is there a special way to network dsl? I networked my cable modem but I'm having trouble networking dsl. Do I need 2 network cards in the shared computer?

you would need 2 ethernet cards and connect them w/ a crossover cable or you can get a router. Take alook at the posts in the Networking and security forum, they should help you out.

It's only a matter of time until ElaineM moves this post there.

Wow, you are good, rap112! You definitely catch on quickly. :) I only wish everyone else would also. I'm moving this to the Networking and Security forum for you now.

As rap112 said,

I would run out and get something like a Linksys Cable/DSL router. They have really dropped in price, and are really good for sharing internet at home. That is what I used to use, and I really liked it. They let both PC's use the 'net, whether one PC is off or not. The connection is not dependant on a particular PC maintaining the connection. Definitely the way to go if you can swing it! :)
