View Full Version : XbOX MOTHERBOARD PROBLEMS PLEASE LOOK IN!!!

i just installed my enigmah modchip and for some reason one of the wires melted inside and it came off so i soldered it back on. anybody know why this happened? also evrytime i screw back the motherboard onto the case the xbox never works but when i juse leave it witout screwing it back on it works. why is this? im thinkin of screwing the motherboard tomorow but im guessin same thing gona happen again. anybody els had this problem? please help guys. thanks

yo bro... ake sure that your wires are not all bunched up underneath... and make sure to leave the srew where the points are out... and remeber you don't have to screw it superman tight just enought so it won't move around( snug)....... and when ya get it fixed let m know if that wwf on the apple worked out for ya

You might have to remount your chip. When you put the motherboard back into the xbox, does the mod chip seem to be getting in the way at all? If its bending when you screw it back on, that isn't good.

odds are that you put a screw though the power wire. This grounded it and caused it to melt. This happened to me, it was a pain, because I had to take the box apart again and redo that wire. No damage was done though. Put some electrical tape over the chips connections, if they are touching metal then it won't work.

Also, you might be grounding the MOBO with something metal...
