My 4 speed CDwriter has just about died on my and i need to replace it any of u know where can get a new one quite cheap? I am looking to speed £35-£50. It needs to be a fairly fast and very reliable writer.

Try www.overclockers.co.uk & look for the LiteOn 40x48x12x as they`re very reasonably priced at the moment & can be overclocked to 48x burning speed. They should be within your budget easily. I wouldn`t bother getting the 48x as the extra speed is minimal.

i have a yamaha lightspeed that i've been using for about a year and a half and i haven't got a single complaint to date. it's very fast, reliable, and compatible with every single program i've ever used (and there have been a lot, to say the least.)

My vote also goes to the LiteOn 40x48x12x . Got 2 of these beasts overclocked to 48x12x48!
