My resolution is at 1024x768 on my desktop and my refresh rate is 85 Hz. When i go to play games, the refresh rate automatically goes back to 60 Hz, no matter which resolution i apply. How do i keep it at 85 Hz.

Monitor: KDS 17 in
vid card: abit geforce 4 ti 4200

Same problem here....I will asume you are using Windows Xp...If so that is just something that comes along with XP....Think I have heard of some kind of fix for it ,but I have just learned to live with it.

By the way,I am running XP pro and using a Radeon 8500 at 85 Hz (60 Hz gaming )

Damn, same prob here. im running at 75hz on win xp pro and it goes to 60hz on most games.

Yep, im on XP. A friend of mine is able to maintain his refresh rate at 85 Hz, but he's on ME w/ a geforce 2 and Dell Monitor. Do you guys know if its video card, monitor, or OS related?

I get the same probs on XP, I'd say its a OS prob associated with XP, I'm still looking for a fix, but no joy to date.......Tony92
