Do both drives have to be on the same IDE??

I have Liteon 16x DVD-Rom - 32x8x8 Ricoh CD/RW
but on different IDE's is this a problem?

For best results your drives should be on different channels as yours already are. Although some people have no problems with drives on the same channel (such as me)... It can lead to problems on some systems.

Anyway, I'm moving this to the CDRW forum.

I have em both on the same channel and have no probs,i was using an older version of nero to begin with and it said there might be probs but with 5.5.8.2 upwards not a problem only thing you can do is try it.

Dont have to be on the same channel, just make sure the master copy is clean & readable, & blank can handle high write speeds..........Tony92
