Hi there is a external cd writer for sale on clearence for a really low price but thing is its only on scsi connections. My laptop doesnt have a scsi connection so i was wondering whether there were adapter for scsi to connect to usb or parallel port??

The cd writer is a HP 9200i.

I have a compaq presario 700 laptop.

tried a search on google?. http://www.educcomp.co.nz/belkin_scsi.htm has one for NZD229 which puts it about USD100. or http://www.usbstuff.com/f5u115.html for about the same price in the USA.

hmm.... didnt know it was dat expensive...Sort of defies the point if me getting this cd writer cause the writer itself is only nz$100.

Hey would you happen to know anywhere i could get an external cd writer cheaply....say around the nz$300-400 mark at least? Dick Smith have them for about 500$nz.
