View Full Version : !HELP! HDD is making noise through mainboard speaker !!!

i just moved my system from my old to my new system case but now my hdd sounds as if it is a modem . at first i thought the bizare noise was comming from one of the hdd's itself but it just couldnt be . now i figured out it is comming from the speaker that is built into the mainboard.

whenever i power up its quite as it should be but when my other hdd strart during boot up especially it sound like a freagin 56k trying to login LOL..

well not so lol actually its a bit iritating ofcourse anyone here have any sugestions for me pls ?

here's my spec's:

amd 1700+
512 dimm cas-2
msi turbo2 mainboard
gf2 pro
phillips acoustic edge -connected through internal spdif
audigy player - connected through internal analoge
sitecom nic
hauppauge wintv-go

Never heard that one before, but as a last resort, you could always disconnect the speaker, I have 3 PC's here, & one of them hasn't got the internal speaker connected, never made a difference to me before.
