Hello.

I am recieving the error below when i try to copy any file over 100mb off a cd to my HD. This is getting very irritating considering it is not the cd as i have tested it on multiple computers.

The weird thing about this whole problem is that it was working fine one minute then straight away i inserted another cd and tried to copy another 200mb file and it comes up with this error, and i did not touch any settings, software, cables during the change.

I try to copy a cd and it also comes up with the error. I have tried many programs, CDRWIN NERO CLONECD etc but no luck.

I am running Windows XP Home Edition and using my CD/CDR/CDRW/DVD All-In-One Ricoh MP9060a with Firmware 1.90.

It comes up with a dialog like so...

Data Error: File Name (Cyclic Redundancy Check)

Does anybody have any suggestions on how to overcome this problem?

Thanks In Advanced

I am having the same issues. We create video courses and have two files on the cd with a total of 500mb. The first one might play fine but then the second pops up the crc error message. We think it might be linked to the burning speed of the CD burner. If we set the burner to a slower burn speed it seems to work better but we still get it. I have been working on this for about a month now but continue to get the problems. I hope someone else has figured this out.
