On my crappy PC running win98se ive always been able to open .NFO files by double left clicking, which brought up the "this is not associated with anything please choose a program" box and i always choosed explorer to open them but i accidentally forgot to uncheck the "always use this program to open these files and now when i double left click the files they dont do anything at all.

Anybody got any ideas how i can sort this?????

cheers in advance

Open up a window... like my computer icon on your desktop. Click on view... folder options. Then click the tab File Types. Look for the .nfo extension on the list. Highlight it and click edit. IN the big white area you'll see it says open.. or it's blank. Add a program to open it with..... choose wordpad.

I like using notepad to open up .nfo files. Its much faster.

yeah, i'd use notepad. not only is it much faster, but (at least for the type of .nfo files i'm reading) many of the text-graphics are pictures that will only look right in notepad.

The "DAMN NFO Viewer" also works great for viewing nfo files.
