i got one a couple of months ago and was around £89 i think,

but the new batch that i got a few weeks ago had vcd playback disabled,

apparently they now have a newer pacific in that is slimmer but am not aware of the vcd palyback if it has been disabled or not.

I think the new Pacific is a 1002 (saw it yesterday) but no idea if it's any good.

I bought a 750 a month or so back, got it home, tried to play a few discs.
It was crap - even playing DVDs it stuttered..

So it went back - if they ask why you are returning it, just tell em it's rubbish - they won't mind.

I think the 451 Acoustic will be my next bet - nothing but good reviews about it.

The 421 is selling out nationwide according to the manager in my local branch. They are getting more in but they might be slightly more expensive.
The 451 is available though but for how long???????
