just wondering whether its worth upgrading to windows xp from me??
i mainly use it for games , and net use, anyone out there got any opinions
on which is better, and what advantages il gain????????? cheers

If your operating system is working fine right now I would say leave things as they are. Personally I like the look (most of it anyway) of XP, it rarely crashes (Me rarely did for me also once System Restore was removed) runs very smoothly. Many hate the look, have had loads of problems with it and have gone back to 98 or Me. So you pay your money and make your choice.

I always say to people, if you really want to try it why not dual-boot Win 98/Me and XP and get the feel for it at your own pace.

peterjohno, as Lazza recommended you would probably be better off with a dual boot as at least you have ME as it was and you can play around with XP but as your already happy with your OS I would do as Lazza's signature line says.....If it ain't broke, don't fix it ™

win me and win 98 used to crash all the time with me.Since ive put xp on im not going back, it loads up software quicker only had it crash once and installs alot of the drivers for you.If you don't like the look you can allways change it to look like win 98.

xp is far stable than me

i had ME and really enjoyed it, but i upgraded to xp and i'm really glad i did. it organizes things much better--puts things in places that you're likely to need them, is very stable, easy to use, fast, etc. if you don't like xp, it has an option to go back to the previous system (ME). get xp, you'll like it.
