That depends on the laser of your xbox, its not that the modchip sends a signal to the laser telling him which cd to read or which one not to read. you can allways try to ajust your potmeter if you find out that the xbox you own can't read apple dvd's

Apple DVDRs are not generic. There is not such thing as Apple Generic.

I think (hope) he means Apple General (Use). Apple makes teh best DVD-Rs on the market, and they're pretty cheap too (5 for $29). I've done the "read test" on my XBox and it read all my Apple DVD-Rs, now to order tha X-ecuter!

ok, because i was planning on getting x-ecutor but i wanted to make sure that it could read the dvd-r. i dont have any apple dvd-r so i acnt test if it could read it. is there any other way i could tell?
