Thanks to the demutualisation of the National Mutual we now have a handsome wad burning a hole in our pockets and quite fancy getting a dvd writer. What are best deals, what should we look for or avoid like the plague. Any particular features we must have?

the 104 is the barebones drive, the a04 is the retail boxed drive with software.
imho
go retail, use correct software = less hassle.
