if you are using a fat 32 system, you can use PRIMODVD (aka PRASSI) and use the engine update. its for those who use the fat32 system.

run a search and you'll find more info on PRIMODVD

as forburning on the fly - it wont make an image on the hard drive

as for burning speeds, arent dvd burners only capable at 1 or 2X?
i'd try it at 2x - i dont have a dvd-burner, but if i did, i'd try 2x

You are correct that you will get around the 2 gig problem. I would also only write it at 1x if you are going to do it on the fly. DVDRs are kind of expensive so you don't really want one to mess up. In fact I would have it do the simulation (test run) first also.

Only way I know is to use the update.

burning on the fly is a bad move-causes loads of errors and will often cause it to eventually give up b4 completion -id stick to goin thru ur harddrive for the best backups if i was u...regards,gsand.

use prassi to create a gi image and it doesn't matter about using
fat32 cos it splits the image up into 2gb files.when you burn it back
to dvdr it sticks them back together.
so you can create an image which is anysize, even over 4gig
