Hey, I purchased a LG CDRW/DVD Rom drive a while back and I have had no problems with it. However, I notice that mildly scratched DVDs skip like crazy on it causing it to freeze. I was just wondering if DVD drives are more sensitive to scratches on DVDs then standard home players? I ask this because I bought Resident Evil brand new and I first watched it on my friends ps2, but somehow it must of gotten scratched because certain scenes refuse to play. All my other DVDs work great so I know its not the player. I just figure DVD drives are more sensitive to scratches. Has anyone else had this similar problem? Is there anyway to correct it other than being extremely careful with DVDs? Thanks for your time
