hi
looking for info on what writer is best for backups of karaoke discs
and would also like to know what to look for in the writer spec so as i dont buy a writer that wont do the job

have seen a plextor px-w2410a 24x10x40a ide this drive supports track at once disc at once season at once multisession packet writing

would appriciate some help thankyou

No need to look any farther, the 24X plexy will do the job perfectly.:tup: There are others that are a little cheaper that claim to do cdg or cd+g (not all are as accurate), but the plex is certainly at the top of the heap.

You will need cloneCD (full disks only), CDRWin, or diskjuggler to do the karaoke tracks.

twankster is right, the 24x Plextor (and virtually all Plextors) will read and write CD+G flawlessly. However, the only software you will really need is CDRWIN, since it does both full copys and compilations with the best of them. It will also burn MP3+Gs to CD+G.

i find cdrwin a little slow for straight copies and use discjuggler for that. but if you only get one program it must be cdrwin. e-mail me for info on cdrwin

i have burned karaoke on my plexter at 24x with no faults at all so far ,,,it may not be wise but thats just what i have done for my own use and had no probs so far.... the burner i had before was a scsi yamaha and that was great as well
