Can I flash the XBOX bios simply to play backups, or do I need a chip installed? I ordered the Xios, but now I want to back out, since I feel as if I will f'up the install. Thanks!

inb order to flash the bios, you have to start the xbox without the original bios(since it has to be flashed which cannot when it is operative) and you got to boot a cdr on which you've burned evox to flash the bios. so go figure it out.

So i guess I need the chip in right? So ill just leave the chip in then. Save the hassle :)
