i ws trying to install win xp professional and it stopped saying "Fatal Error"

any ideas??

Where in the instalation did it say this? Whats ur specs? Whot OS (if ne) R U Running?

Are you using an Original XP Disk ( :laugh: ) or a backup???

When the disk is inserted it offers to check your system for compatibility, does this pass (ignore driver warnings)???

Try another copy or try copying the entire CD contents onto your hard drive and run the setup from the Hard Drive.

Are you trying to install directly over winME or did you format the drive and do a fresh install?

upgrade install

I suggest you backup everything you need

Boot from the CD and format using NTFS. That should install OK
