I installed some extra memory and it works fine but on start up when the memory is checked it just keeps on going, like the display on petrol pumps nowadays, lol. It wont stop and give me the total memory in there. Is it a bios thing? Please help cos I cant give it to my dad until I get it sorted.:round:

Im sure it will stop when it reaches the right amount!

Go into BIOS and ensure you ENABLE quick power on self test. This will speed up the memory check. Without this its slower and normally goes through three cycles.
