Intrancer Aug 07, 2002, 03:28 PM cheers mate.. gonn try it out....
Stusy Aug 07, 2002, 04:55 PM Its in red cause it can't see this
d:\default.xbe
d being the DVDrom drive. it will only be in white if there is such a file on the DVDrom.
What are you trying to do?
If your trying to play a DVD film just goto the M$ dashboard and it will load from there.
If your tring to launch a util off the dvd rom dive make sure it has default.xbe in its root directory
Meerdorf Aug 07, 2002, 05:08 PM DVDROM Launch "d:\default.xbe" is what you want! And put it in your root, not the games I think!
Just copy and paste this... it will work, just change the files around in flashfxp so that they correspond to mine....
HOPE IT HELPS!
Capt. Peo Aug 07, 2002, 06:22 PM Can someone post here the menu ini that lets the xbox reads cdrs? There was a change u could make to the menu file to allow this to hapen.
Intrancer Aug 08, 2002, 02:28 AM meerdorf: thanks for your menu.ini file works ok..... could you tell me what the difference is between clicking 'boot form dvd tray' and 'launch dvdrom' in your menu is?
Meerdorf Aug 08, 2002, 06:41 AM Nowt.... I just boot the wrong name in, change it if you like. I dont see any difference from reboot to dvd launch?
soakingwetcat Aug 09, 2002, 01:04 AM Hey guys - finally migrating over here from the PS2 forum. Anyhow, I had the same problem where the DVD menu was in red. Shut off the xbox completely with the DVD in the drive and then restart it to go to the evox menu. The DVD won't be in red anymore. This worked great for me finally! An NHL 2002 backup I made ran just peachy using this trick.
I love hacking my xbox! Was worth every friggen wire I soldered - all 29 of the little *******s. Have all my fav emulators on - hoping one day to be able to surf the web easily with it.
