i'm trying to fix my friend's computer . A few months ago, I split their hard drive into 3 partitions, 1 partition to house all their personal files (music, pix etc). Also I may add, they're not all that computer smart. All they do is chat, email, download, especially from Kazaa and Morpheus And I've caught and removed a handful of viruses on their system. I installed Norton AntiVirus beforehand, but they disabled autoprotection and uninstalled LiveUpdate (don't know why they did that).
Anywayz, I reformatted their computer, destroying 2 partitions, sparing their Personal partition in tact. I installed Win2k on a partition (c:\), leaving the rest as unpartitioned space. So I have 2 partitions, system partition and a personal partition, and the rest unpartitioned space. After I installed win2k, the final stage, I had to restart the computer in order complete installation. When it restarted, Windows wouldn't load. It would display all that normal text (u know the stuff about your computer specs) but it wouldn't load window. All I get is a black screen. I tried changing the boot sequence. It would not let me boot from floppy.

If they only chat & download dont kmow why they need partitions just run fdisk delete partitions and create a single active one

Is it a full version or upgraded version of Win2k you got?

I'm using the full version of Win2k and I think partitioning the hard drive would be much more organize. How would I go into FDISK? It won't let me boot from floopy
Thanx in advance
