I've got a chiped xbox with evox on the hd. If I remove the chip will evox dash still load up?
If it did, instead of chipping new xboxes why not just swap the HD for one with evox on it. Flash the bios or add a link to the DVD drive in the dash.
Has anyone tried this?

the evo-x does not work without a mod...so yes you have to still keep your mod.

Actually you can remove your old modchip IF you use EvoX flashtool and flash your xbox bios with EvoX bios, but you will need a modchip installed to flash the bios... After you flash the Xbox on-board bios you can remove the mod chip.. see xbox-scene for tutorials...

What would the point of removing the modchip actually be though?

You could then use the removed modchip to install into another Xbox,
flash with EvoX,
remove it from that Xbox,
install into another,
flash EvoX,
remove,
flash.......etc, etc.

Great if you do modding professionaly which wouldnt be the case for most people. Otherwise just leave it in there. There is no reason to remove it at this point.

How easy would it be for someone to flash my enigma beta to a new bios? I want one so I can replace my HD... and how much am I looking to part with when this is done?
