View Full Version : Do I need my mod chip any more?

cooltrade Aug 10, 2002, 05:27 AM I've got a chiped xbox with evox on the hd. If I remove the chip will evox dash still load up? If it did, instead of chipping new xboxes why not just swap the HD for one with evox on it. Flash the bios or add a link to the DVD drive in the dash. HaZ Sharps Aug 10, 2002, 08:55 PM Actually you can remove your old modchip IF you use EvoX flashtool and flash your xbox bios with EvoX bios, but you will need a modchip installed to flash the bios... Otherwise just leave it in there. There is no reason to remove it at this point.
