Just got hold of a shooter called Murakumo and just want to check if it's screwed?

When you play the display goes into 'strips' as you turn left or right, the best way I can describe it is with some crap ascii art.

--------------------------------
------------------------------------
--------------------------------
------------------------------------

Imagine each of those lines is about 8 scanlines deep and the they are shifted alternately left and right so the whole screen breaks up.

Is this the game or just a screwed version?

I tried setting the display back to PAL 50 incase that was doing it but it's the same. Can't imagine this is how the game really looks as it's a really nasty effect and makes the old mince's go funny after a few missions..

actually, murakumo is released but its a jap mech game. i have the rip version and have no issues with it. for all i know, there was no prerelease of an american version. infact, i dont recall there ever being a prerelease xbox game yet. i could be wrong.

Cheers to you and Sparky...

Must be a screwed one, the thing with the screen is so noticable that you would know exactly what I was talking about the 2nd I described it.

So it's good news...At least I know there's a good version out there, quite enjoyed the flying about betwwen the buildings etc..

Cheers again

i have the gp version of this game too.. how fast did you burn the game? if past 1x on a dvd, try 1x. if its a ripped version and you burned it to a cdrw, try reformatting the disk completely then reburning. i didnt play my version too long, but i past the first stage and had no problems what so ever. good luck
