I am on cable modem and can i use the wire that goes from me modem to the pc. So connect one end to the pc and other to the Xbox. When i load Evo X and go to Network the ip details are all 0. Do i have to change these and then put them into FlashFxp. I have changed the numbers and have tried them in FlashFxp but wont connect. Do i need to get like a hub or somet

You need to assign a IP to your PC,then a IP to your xbox. I suggest a private ip, something like 192.168.0.1 for the pc and 192.168.0.2 for the xbox. subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 for both PC and xbox. then you should be able to use the ftp client and login to the xbox using the IP of 192.168.0.2. Of course make sure the evo-x dashboard is loaded. You will also need to make sure that the cable you are using is a crossover cable, since you are directly connecting the PC to the Xbox.
