Hi

Anyone got the new operating system JAGUAR 10.2.

I find OSX 10.1.5 excellent and i find it hard to justify another £100 for the upgrade.

What i am asking is how much better is it than my current operating system, anyone in the usa or uk have it yet. And is it worth the money?

Cheers

Jaguar is only available for devlopers now, official release date is 24th August, maybe earlier in some shop, but it seems that the biggest advantage is the speed, if you have at least 32Mb of Vram! 10.1.5 is slow compared with os9, and it seems that 10.2 is as fast and reactiv as 9!! So wait and See, but I think it worth the money!

There are not very many Mac traders on the forums, but they do exisit and someone should have Jaguar by now (the online Apple store started to ship copies early in the States).

os 10.2 is a upgrade, howver it is a paid upgrade. It is also a standalone product. There are major enhancements most notably speed. Only go for it if u have a newer video card

Does anyone know if this latest version will support old G4s? I have the original release of X, and it won't turn on my monitor when booting from the install disk. I assumed they fixed this in a later build.
