I've got a chipped PS2 and use an AR2 card in the memory slot and the accompanying boot disk to play backup games. Thing is, I don't use the damn thing very much as my kids tend to trash it/chew disks etc. and I've forgotten how to get it to boot DVDrs.

I'm fairly sure it was something like hold the reset button in all the time, boot the AR2 software up, select start game, without codes, put a pucker DVD game in, wait a bit, release the reset button then put the 'backup' DVDr in - but that doesn't work!!!! B**ta**s!

Please help a born-again-PS2er.

1) when you get to see the "start game menu" you should put in an original dvd game with a bigger size than the dvdr that you want to boot

2) wait 15 seconds

3) press "start game" and then in the second menu "without codes"

4) now you can hear that the dvd has stopped spinning, put in the dvdr you want to play

5) press X to start the game !

Heres the way I always do it for CD-R backups:
Put AR2 Disc in, load up, press reset. (never works first time when just switched on)
When it loads up the second time, select start game, then without codes,
eject AR2 Disc, put in the backup CD-R and close drawer.
Wait a few seconds until you hear the disc stop spinning, then press the X button.
As for Loading DVD-R copies, I dont know but I am sure there will be instructions in this forum, try the stickys at the top of the page.
