ne1 help me with setting up newsgroup using aol lost & confused
tried grabbit xnews etc but cannot access any groups desperate for help:rolleyes:

i'm also interested. i know how to "surf around" using the aol client, but i'd like to know how to set it up to use one of those programs (ex-xnews)

i dont think that you can download binaries off of aol. if you guys need a simple news reader than i suggest newsshark 1.1.1

Try getting in touch with cust support and ask them if they provide newsgroup access. if they say yes ask them for the address. With that address you should be able to use any reader to access newsgroups as long as they are part of the access list provided by AOL (who they provide ...i do not know )

i used to have aol they do provide newsgroup access, but they do not provide access to any newsgroup containing any type of warez/cracks/serails/games/porn. they play big brother for you and keep that type of material out of their service. switch to a better isp!

Yeah, funny, but trying asking in the AOL newsgroup, we aren't an AOL support forum. They might support it in the computer forum but not this ps2 one.
