my friend has a ps2 that can read DVD games and it can't read dvd movies or blue disk. can someone help me out so that maybe i can help him,plz someone help i need some info

Try cleaning the lens. If that doesn't work then your friend has to get a new laser.

Use the diagnosis menu with dvd flicks. should be explained in the Faqs or the owners manual. I Haven't used it myself. also you forgot to mention what message you get when playing a flick which is very important to us.
