View Full Version : Awwwwww man, i pulled the silver ribbon cable, where does it go? I cant find where???

In that case there should be a place where it plugs in and then you have to clamp it little tighter by hand. I have no clue where it came off from. Thanks. krzylatino Aug 16, 2002, 12:17 PM O the eject cable man u have to continue unscrew the other parts where it says when u are doing an rmod install and when u turn over the ps2 and take the case off u will see two little holes it cmae of thier they have pics for that as well and just plug it in simple go to www.consolesoruce.com for the rmod install to see where came back in very easy xxlilaznrecxx Aug 27, 2002, 11:17 PM You gotta unscrew the 4 screws on the left then take it out and flip the ps2 and take out the other screws and the ribbon's connector should be on the right of the ps2, but it is like taking apart your whole ps2. Crescendoll Aug 28, 2002, 05:47 AM sorta unspecific, but i unplugged it myself when chipping my ps2 (its SOOO annoying) and I think it was somewhere on the motherboard. Just look for an empty socket. madison mods Aug 28, 2002, 02:08 PM Yeah, it's on the side of the motherboard. You can see it w/o taking the whole system apart. You do need to take the power supply off and the metal gaurd for the expansion bay. It's under there and you have to flip the brown lid open, put the ribbon in and close the brown flip door. It's kind of tricky w/o taking the whole system apart, but possible. BadOmen Sep 02, 2002, 07:48 PM On every system I've worked on it is just a regular plug. It's on the right hand side near the red, yellow, and blue plugs. Just push it back it (make sure you plug it in slowly to not break it and with the right side facing up (I think the blue pull tap on the ribbon points up). You will have to take most of the PS2 apart to get at it (you'll probably break the ribbon if you don't.) |
