I was sent 2 films on datasafe generation 3 and they both play fine in my pioneer but skip alot on my dansai. I have another film on a datasafe 2 speed dvdr and this does play in both but gets blocky on my pioneer but perfect on my dansai.

Now any ideas why this is and is there any dvdr media which has the best compatibility with a reasonable price tag.

Well the media that I recomend is apple and verbatim.

Ok I have now found out that it is mainly the earlier dansais that seem to be troublesome with dvdr.
I knew someone else who bought at the same time and his has some problems to.

I then asked people who had bought recently and the dvdr's which would not play on mine played perfectly on theirs.

So i took my 852 back to tesco and changed it for a 1010 which now plays the dvdr's the 852 wouldn't perfectly
