What is the best dvd player that plays vcd , svcd , dvd r cds.

please let me know asap , as i bought a samsung which said it played vcd , but it doesnt.

please help.

what u bought mioght only play proper vcds try going to rficher sounds

Get an apex. They play virtually everything, and one of the chepest ones too. And you can hack them to disable the macrovision and watch dvd's from other regions etc..

or go for an aiwa from richer sounds , top player but the dadys are tosh sd220e and pioneer dv4444 , also philips q40 (with biult in doldy digital and dts )decoder , all you have to do is add sub plus 5 speakers for home cinema (its only £139.99 ) or u have a lescon from deenhams with progressive scan for £90 , money talks :)

I have a Yello DVD900 from amazon for £130. It plays VCD SVCD DVD-R MP3, all meida. It comes region free and has a simple remote hack to disable macrovision.

I'll back up the opinion on the pioneer DV-444, it plays anything, including unfinalised DVDR's. It is a neat unit, and most importantly, it has great picture and sound quality and it is from a respected manufacturer.

I bought a Lecson 900 , and to tell the truth , it looks like a sexy dvd player , but it has all the best features as well.
