Im building a new a pc and need help choosing a motherboard and Im not sure on which chipset is better. I have:

Athlon XP 2200+
Gforce 4 4600
Audigy Platinum
2 512mb DDR 2700
160GB HDD (7200rpm)
Pioneer A04

I'm looking to spend as much as $300 for the board.

You will get the best performance from a VIA KT333, or even better is the VIA KT400. The nForce2 chipset is also hitting the shelfes now, and it looks promising.
I suggest you do a little reading to make up your mind. May I point you in the direction of some good sites: :)
