ThomasReid Aug 18, 2002, 05:51 AM I have a cyberhome player from richersounds they are very good. Lazza Aug 18, 2002, 12:22 PM baz, top notch m8. Plays the lot, great picture too. _____________________________ PS: Wot was Keegan smoking yesterday m8? "Leeds were lucky to win..." bluemoonbaz Aug 18, 2002, 03:17 PM thanxs lazza :D brianc Aug 19, 2002, 11:23 AM On the Cyberhome can you disable the macrovision if I wanted to tape an orginal disk ? number one Aug 19, 2002, 01:51 PM wh smith sell them for about £120 me1000uk Aug 19, 2002, 08:06 PM got the cyberhome. Bit of a problem with MP3s (skips the 1st second or so), and is HUGE (not ugly, just HUGE), comes in silver too which is a plus. Other than that it is an excellent player There is a firmware upgrade that u can use to eliminate the MP3 problem, and any other issues, but I haven't used it yet (if it ain't broke, don't fix it!) For the price, and the picture quality, it's superb (as long as you ignore the MP3 1st second Problem) re: macrovision, this can be disabled on a film by film basis using the remote, but you have to have the latest firmware upgrade. Other than that, it can't be disabled, unless u get a chip. (then again if you're gonna be playing copied stuff, you're not really gonna need macrovision cos it will have been copied already) would recommend you get it from richersounds because they have excellent service, and you can get a 3year warranty for 20 quid (which includes any servicing, and they buy back the system for half the price you paid for it) hope this helps defdex Aug 20, 2002, 05:40 AM Picked up the cyberhome AD-L528 from RicherSounds a good while back. Have been more than happy with it. Plays just about everything. DefDex. drewsie Aug 20, 2002, 11:19 AM Hi bluemoonbaz, Excellent player for the cash, the only drawback which me1000uk has already stated is it's abit on the chunky side. Try this site........ http://www.second-spin.com £99 + £13 P+P and that includes next day delivery or Go onto ebay and there's one up for auction, brand new with 2 warranty from second spin. Hurry though cos there's only 2 days left, current price at the mo is £47  drewsie rudey Aug 20, 2002, 11:35 AM m8ty its ok for cheap and cheerful, but for quality u want a branded one the best is a tosh sd220e its the bogs dollocks otherwise u can get a lescon from debenhams which also has progressive scan (a feature that u only find on 300+ players ,its same price as cyberhome ad528 , :hdspin: :round: CaSt-DrEaM Aug 20, 2002, 09:03 PM CYBERHOME IS THE BEST I HAVE SEEN AND ALSO USED... I HAVE ONE AND WOULD NOT BUY ANY OTHER M8... GO FOR IT.. MAIL ME FOR A LINK TO GET ONLINE DEAD CHEAP :) chipbuttyman Aug 21, 2002, 07:26 AM Got 1 about a year ago and it has had som serious work with DVDR VCD MP3 CDR everything and I have never had a problem. rudey Aug 22, 2002, 11:58 AM Originally posted by CaSt-DrEaM CYBERHOME IS THE BEST I HAVE SEEN AND ALSO USED... MAIL ME FOR A LINK TO GET ONLINE DEAD CHEAP :) m8ty not being cheeky how many players u used  and you say its the best you seen ! its massive m8ty and very ugly  me1000uk Aug 22, 2002, 06:55 PM Originally posted by rudey m8ty not being cheeky how many players u used  and you say its the best you seen ! its massive m8ty and very ugly  I think the word ugly is a bit extreme. It's actually not bad looking at all. In silver it looks ok. It's just BIG, moreso than ugly. it's not like you'll have another dvd player next to it to compare with when it's at home. it's the best for the price, if you want something that plays the lot. If you're gonna spend more, then obviously there's better players around (let's not kid ourselves :) ) so if you're lookin for a sub 100 player, go for it. rudey Aug 23, 2002, 12:44 PM yeah m8ty your right it is a good buy for wot it is , but just for that bit more , you could have a top notch player :) but m8ty your right it is a good buy as it does everything out of the box , and cheap is sometimes cheerful, richer sounds have limit 8080 (i think) which does everything and its only £50 which is damm cheap :) |
