Hey group, I am looking for some opinions and experiences on Tv tuner/ Video capture cards.

I already have a solid video card so I am looking for a separate card

I would really like to get a USB version, but I do have the space for a PCI version.

Also, I am assuming that I can record movies and shows off of my DTV correct?? As long as I have the cables ran right (dish-> receiver-> video capture card-> back to TV)

I am wanting to start saving some of my favorite shows and put them on CDR's and maybe DVD's when I get a new burner.

Right now I am kinda leaning towards an ATI Tv Tuner, but any thoughts or opinions are more than welcome!!!!!!!!

An ATI tv card will work fine. I use a hauppauge one and have used an ATI one before. All I do is hook up my VCR to it and record what I want. You may want some third party software to do the recording, depends on what software comes with the card really. The software Hauppauge comes with sucks but I'm not sure about ATI cards. If you plan on doing any digital work though like with a digital camcorder or somethin you may want to look at a more expensive card that supports this.
